Did you know your saliva has its ups and downs as well? You might have noticed this already when you were not well hydrated. Some days, your saliva might be flowing quickly through the inne strip, while on other days, it's just not ready for a sprint yet...
But no need to worry - that's perfectly normal and there are ways to get the speed back up!
- Please always take a fresh inne strip when retaking a test.
- A few sips of water (!) can help when your mouth feels dry - simply wait for 5 minutes before taking the test.
- Play around with our recommended methods to stimulate saliva flow! You can move the strip freely around your mouth, just making sure the collector pad is fully-soaked with saliva before activating the strip.
- Morning yoga, preparing breakfast, having a shower... All of this helps to activate your body and stimulate saliva flow. Your individual, 4-hour testing window provides great flexibility when integrating the saliva test into your morning routine. You could even have breakfast or your beloved coffee first, as long as you rinse your mouth thoroughly with water (like you do after brushing your teeth) and wait for 10 minutes before taking the test.
