The Pearl Index shows how reliable a contraceptive method is. It indicates how many out of 100 women become pregnant within one year of using the method.
For inne, this means:
- With perfect use (daily, correct measurements with the inne Minilab), the Pearl Index was 0.0. This means that no pregnancies were observed during the clinical study.
- With typical use (including occasional missed days or application errors), the Pearl Index was 7.98. This means that, on average, about 8 out of 100 women would become pregnant over the course of a year.
The lower the Pearl Index, the more effective the method. A Pearl Index of 0.0 is exceptionally strong – but it’s important to remember: no contraceptive method is 100% effective, even if no pregnancies occurred in the study.
inne offers a level of protection comparable to the pill – but without hormones. What matters is that you track consistently and follow the guidance in the app.
